how to attach kickdown linkage to carb?

hi, can anyone tell me how this piece the arrow is pointing to connects to the carb? I previously had this attached to a 2 barrel carb, but now it's 4 barrel and i'm not sure how to attach. thanks!

so it actually mounts behind the bracket on the carb rather than in front?

i see what you're saying. the slot in mine is pretty narrow. since it was for a different carb before i think the nub was smaller. would you see any issue with just widening the slot if it doesn't fit?
