I will take some pics, we would rather not post numbers ... We are certain its authentic ,just wondering how many have been found or recorded on record... You can ask SHEVELLE.COM Jackie will confirm I don't make false claims about wanna be clones and I know you guys see a lot of that in todays trade..

great website keep up the good work , will post pics soon

THANKS

Russ, I hope you get it. That would be a badass ride. Get it, THEN post some pics. I haven't played Chevelle this time more than 7 years, but constant eBay searches and trying to memorize every letter on Dales website, I have only ever seen two, and the 09 eBay car was hardly verified, and the other was on Dales site.

I know a guy here in Indy that has one ('65 L79 vert). It's original, unrestored, and in decent shape. The blue-gray color. He drives it quite a bit.

Was from Joe Wylie to Adrian Petersen, but ya'll are not doing as good of a job luring Texas H.S. FB talent as you used to. Texas can't coach em, much like driving a Dodge truck I am not going to Gig "EM.

As my family originated in Courtland, Alabama that has been a nice bus to be on lately.

I sold a matching number 65 L79 Convertible on here a few years back. I was told since I didn't have a build sheet or protecto plate there was no way to tell it was real even though all numbers matched and the car was clearly never touched.

I remember back in an old issue of the monthly ACES member magazine The Chevelle Report, there was a Tuxedo Black 1965 Malibu convertible with a black top and aqua bench seat interior. It had an L-79, 4-speed, wire wheelcovers and it was beautifully restored.

In 1965 the pale yellow was Crocus Yellow. It was a nice color and like so many 1965 Chevrolet colors, was inspired by botany.

Russ, come on man, pictures!!

Not something we as A body addicts see every day. And if possible, get that thing in Dales registry. Sounds like an amazing car with a puke color. And we can make Dale a Sooners fan if that is what it takes to see the car:D

John H had a Cypress Green convertible a while back, not sure if he still has it or not as I believe it was for sale at the time. It was an all numbers matching Baltimore L79, 4-speed bench seat. Also had a body broadcast sheet. Sweet car!!

I probably have a few photos I could share with you as you begin your restoration Russ.
