As stated in my title, how much does a 15x6 GM steel wheel weigh? I don't have a spare laying around to check myself. I've been tempted recently by some shiny wheels, but I'll be damned if I'm going to spend multiple hundreds of dollars to make my car heavier.

I bought new wheels from Wheel Vintiques...shipping weight of a pair of 15x6" steel wheels was 48 lbs. The wheels were boxed seperately but strapped together as one package.

Wow! I had mine off for paint about a year ago and I don't remember them weighing all that much bare. I do have a spare 15x7 I can weigh just to get an idea. Was hoping somebody had been as stubborn as me before this.

I just picked up a pair of 15x6 steelies yesterday. Bare, they weigh in at 22lbs each.

I did not have a 15x6 wheel loose, but I did weigh a 14x5 and it came in at 18 lbs.
