Shhot, the current one back in '88 I paid $2000.

My ex-brother in law paid $17,000 for his '70 El Camino with a 'vette 427 and a wired (yes, a wire held it in) battery and leaking gas tank and little twist things in the front coil springs to raise the car and those little spring compressor bolt things in the rear to lower the car... all with after market seats with pink piping, a passenger door that scraped the front fender when opened...... but he swears it's an SS (show me the paper work... sez I...)

Too much money for me for a car that needs that much work.

OK, I can see that this is a bargain bragging post. :D
I paid $300 for a mint, one owner, 70,000 mile SS 396 Nova.........in 1980, the best buy I ever made.

The latest purchase was for 70 or more times than that, but a bargain none the less, AND! I'm sinking more $ into it!!! But it's worth it and it's V E R Y nice in my humble opinion.

My creedo:
Buy smart
Have fun
Work on it yourself
Sell it if you have to or want to
Don't accept a loss
There's another car waiting for you......

Has worked everytime for me.
