How many miles can a guy expect to get from a street 383? I'm looking at aluminium heads, mpfi, 4l60 etc. and was wondering, are these engines good for 10,000, 30,000, 50,000 miles or are they in need of freshening every season or two. Will be driven on the road for the most part, might take to track once or twice to test. Tend not to trash my stuff, but always looking for something fun to do. :D Would like dependable enough to take trips in of a couple thousand miles or so.(Cb-08 or -09 hopefully). Thanks for any input. :beers:

I pretty much have everything you just stated...look at the sig. With the forged bottom end and full roller valve train, 100,000 should be easy.

I had the motor built to be a daily driver for the long haul.

if you realy hash on it. plan to chuck a set of bearings and rings in it every 5 years, but if its a mild daliy driver, with a good set of rings and u take it "easy" it should last you as long as a stock rebuild would.
