I was thinking today about Bill (ARK68SS) and how he is making out after his bad burn incident. Does anyone know if he is still in the Hospital? If you are reading this Bill, " our prayers are with you for a speedy and complete recovery

Last I heard Bill was at home. Those of us on his email list got at least one email from him, just some forwarded information, nothing personal. I have emailed him once but did not get a reply.

Maybe Les has some information and will chime in.

I just got off the phone with Bill and he gave me permission to post a quick update on our conversation.

He's doing good - sounded really good - and was en route home from the burn unit. Bill says his head is healed up and other spots are nicely healed as well. He's still working on getting his shoulder healed up.

He stated that if progress/healing continues as it has that in about three weeks he would expect to be back in good enough shape to go back to work.

He also said that although he won't be taking his car, he might show up at the Big Cruisefest in Little Rock at the River Market on October 23-24.

Bill said his computer is not easily accessible and at this point his preference has been to relax and focus on healing - sounds like a good plan to me!

Just wanted to give you guys an update. Keep praying for Bill as he recovers. Sounds like he's doing great so far!

Thanks for all the good thoughts, they have helped a lot!
I took my second trip to the Burn Care Unit today. The girls removed my bandages and scrubbed more of the dead and crusty gunk off of my left shoulder, right arm, and belly button. They aren't as sympathetic as my wife, and they scrub a lot harder. I make sure the pain meds are fully functional before I go in. ;)
There was no infection found, and, over all, I'm doing really well. My scalp has totally healed and I can begin to grow my hair starting this week. They are taking me off of Oxycodone and giving me a nerve pain pill that isn't addictive and will help control the itching/burning sensation of the nerve endings growing back.
As you can tell by the pic, I am no longer just a *******, my status has grown to being a redbelly also. l:)
Thanks for the support, if things continue at the current pace, I should be healed up enough to start working again in 3~4 weeks.

glad to hear you're doing better, Bill

I was hoping to get together at the Cruise Fest, but I won't be back from sunny California until the 30th :(

Glad to see you are on the mend Bill

That redbelly looks like a silhouette of Bullwinkle l:)
I was thinking Mickey Mouse, but I guess those could be antlers instead of ears. :D

The burn center gals are wonderful. I'm going to take my camera to the next visit and see if they'll let me get a group picture.
They're young (hell, everybody's young now days. My surgeon looked like he just started shaving.), cute, smart, and very courteous. When I start moaning and quivering when they scrub the tender places, they tell me how sorry they are that they have to hurt me, but that it'll be over soon.
I'm sure Bad Brad and some of you other guys will find something erotic in that last statement.:p

I don't know if I'll make the Cruisefest, I know the car won't be there & I'll have to see how I'm feeling.
