I have my whole column out of the car just to replace this. I'm a little PISSED OFF now!! All because my left turn signal doesn't cancel. I had to buy the whole damn thing. Couldn't get just the half moon shaped cam.

Chevydog, Are you still trying to get this done or have you figured it out? You should have been able to replace the switch with the column in the car. What was giving you trouble?

I finally got it done. After removing the column and also removing the wires from the half moon shaped black connector. I wasn't able to get the black connector to slide up through the column. Am I missing something? Am I really that dumb? I had to remove every wire from the connector, very carefully, in order to remove the old one. I could have just cut it but I wanted some practice before I started on the new one. So I removed all the wires from the new one and slid the whole wire ribbon down thru the column and the put all the wires back in the connector. WHAT A PAIN THE AZZZ!!!! It took me 2 nights after work of cussing and too much manual labor to complete the job. All because my left turn signal would not cancel. Ha Ha!!

You might have noticed the half moon shaped connector fits the radius of the column. You should be able to remove your turn signal switch and pull the harness up through the column, You might need to rotate the top piece of the column(the larger part)a little to get the connector out, it's designed to come out that way, and it should slide back through. You should also be able to buy the cam in the Help section at the auto parts store, and the aftermarket suppliers also sell the cam your talking about.
