Hello,

How do I remove scratches in glass? What is the best product/process to make a new windshield perfect again?

A bird must have eaten a ton of diamonds before making a deposit on my windshield. Of course it was welded on, and when I wet it and wiped it off, it left scratches right where my line of vision is.

Looking for the best way to polish the glass to make it like new.

Thanks...........Joe.

I bought a glass polishing kit from JC Whitney's. It seems to work OK. It'a a hard felt wheel with a container of powder that you make into a paste and polish with a drill. it works best for light scratches. If you work to long in one area you can distort the glass though.

mrchets right, the powder hes talking about is called cerium oxide.just call any glass shop in the phone book.if its light scratches then it should work, get a marker and trace the scratch from the inside cause it is messy.use lots of water, you mix it into a paste.then start polishing it on.just be careful you could make it look worse.
