Need to sell my '66 so i can give Butter Cup a botox treatment and start on the camaro. What is the way most of ya'll go about doing that?

Don't really want to put an ad in the paper and have ppl come to my house....kinda weird about that, was robbed once....but then again, good target practice :D

Sorry...went off course there again...how would ya'll recommend I do this?
Don't know much about Ebay but that I had to stop buying stuff off there.
never have sold anything and am not computer savvy.

know I can put an ad on here, but wanted to see if there are other ideas :D
thank you!!!

craigslist.org
cars-on-line.com

It is going to be hard for someone to not come to your house to buy the car.

one of my buddies owns a tire store, he said I could leave her there to show it. that way she would be inside also.

I have sold a few on Craigs list, after I talk to them ,.and if they seem ligit, I'll meet them to show the car. In my case it's the Kragen store about 4 blocks away.
You should take the offer to use the tire store as a park and sell spot and use it as a meeting place.

The right thing to do is to give it to someone like me.

Then when you miss it, I could return it to you.:D

The tire shop does sound like a great idea for a meeting place.

Trust no one.:(

I just sold mine. Actually had a guy on this site who was a freaking jerk but thankfully I wasn't the only one he was annoying and a moderator took care of him. I put it on ebay with a reserve but it didn't meet it. I then put it on craigslist and had a little interest. Finally one of the people who bid on ebay called me up to come look at it and paid cash for it ($500) less then reserve but that was ok with me because it was over $1000 more then what the bidding was at. Good luck!

Mine got sold through http://www.racingjunk.com/category, kind of.I had an ad for it on there, and the guy that saw it,and wound up buying it was a friend of my buddies that was helping me work on it,and also told him about it.You can also take it to car/cruise shows with a for sale sign on it.

May be a smidgen tougher selling now? But I would bombard the people with
1. Craigslist, free
2. Here in TC classifieds, free
3. Racing junk .com is a good one
4.Your local classic/muscle car trader book, they take pic for you.
5. ebay, but requires time, pics and they get you in end with fees.
I would do first 4 at one time, that will get the exposure you need to sell it.

i would not use ebay cost to much to list and the cars on their are not fetching the reserve price's, the craig list is a crock just full of scammer's the best way to sell a car is to display it at the end of the check out line at your local grocery store , in other words, find a business thats deals with high value items like motor homes, or moble homes, and ask the owner if you can park on his lot for a few days ,, it will be secure and chance are their will be alot of traffic going by , if your chevelle is sharp you will get some attentions i park my black rose painted 69 chevelle on just such a lot and before i could get to the house i had allready snag a fish, in just 20 minute,, the next time i park a daytona yelow 69 chevelle in the same place, and with in three days i had the fish on the line and in the boat in four days,, im going to park my gold 69 chevellle sedan there next week, this thing stick out like you would not believe, so i hope it will be gone in under aweek , but we are talking alot more bread, , boy i just love chevelle's,, oh i know you will regret selling it , but hey life is full of them goodluck
