I am getting ready to put my 283 back in my 64 3-speed, but before I do, I want to make sure the clutch and pressure plate are ok. Physically they do not appear to overly worn or broken, but I must admit that I haven't seen a lot of pressure plates out before. Can you guys offer some pointers on possible issues I should inspect for before assembly? Thanks,

Tim

No cracks in the pressure plate surface. Lay a metal straight edge on it to be sure it isn't warped. Use some sandpaper and freshen it up. Disc just needs to have thickness on each side and not be worn too thin. Flywheel, no cracks, sand smooth or have it ground.
