Mods, move if needed.

Guys, I've been having a debate with my buddy about how much horsepower my 489 will make.
I won't be able to get it on the dyno until April so I thought I would ask here. You guys know bbc better then anyone on the web!

Here's the run down.
489.
10.5 to 1 compression
Dart pro one 24 degree vavle rectangle port-310cc
Solid roller lunati-
Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 285/293; Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 255/263; Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .680/.680; LSA/ICL: 110/106; Valve Lash (Int/Exh): .018/.018
Full roller rockers. Stock 1.7 ratio.
Oil pan with crank scraper and windage tray.
Holley mfpi fuel injection.
Holley dis ignition

Should be enough info for some guesses.
I am hoping for 650. But would be amazing if I get to 700.

Thanks guys!

I did one of those online engine calculations and it said 710. I don't believe that, but whatever I guess.

Picture of where it's at now. I'm waiting on some parts.

One thing for sure your gonna need some gear there to get this thing out of it's own way down low . Rectangle port 310 head with a 255 intake duration @050

With all due respect.
Not really looking for advice on how to build my car. Just a horsepower guestimate.
Ya might break 650 with a single plane intake but its not gonna be real quick to get to 6600 ish rpm which is about where youd see the 650ish
With a dual plane my guess is over 600 at about 6 grand and your gonna see that alot quicker than you'll see 650 @ 6600 ish with a single plane
Good luck with it .
Come back and show the dyno

It has a holley MPFI manifold. I'll be using a holley dominator ecu. It will also use the holley smart coils . With a dis setup.
Appreciate your concern about gearing. I'm not to worried. I don't think the heads or cam are really that big.

They're big lol
And theres nothing wrong with bigger and theres nothing wrong with gears . Gears are torque too . Gears along with that cam and heads and you'll be lacking NOTHING .
If it hooks itll be nasty !
Not tryin to tell ta howda build it . Just sayin

What's the transmission?
What's the car ? 70 chevelle?
70 chevelle. I wish.
Most likely it will be a TKX, still slightly undecided on that. Might just be a super m22/m23/m22z variation. Engine is slated for a 76 chevy truck.

Just some dog eat dog stockers. Like 3.42 I believe. I have a 9 inch for it. No gears right now. So I'll be able to set it up however I need to.

Jeez man if ya got a 9 inch ford for it and your plan is to put that in it and theres 342 in there now maybe it be good to run it with the 342 and see how it acts with that gear . Give ya a nice preview on how its gonna play with a given gear .
With bein a pickup traction obviously can be an issue .
You gonna drag it or just raise hell on the street with it or both ?? Lol

Right now my plan is get the engine done this spring. Pull the small block/trans and swap the new engine/trans over the summer. (That doesn't bother me because I can drive the chevelle instead)
I do plan on leaving the original 12 bolt in it initially. Most likely I will probably be broke once I'm done with the engine and trans. Once I recover a bit, it will be rear end time and rear suspension. Won't be tubbed but it will have some of linked rear with as big as a meat I can fit back there. The plan it to be able to drive to the race track, race and drive Home. I have one strip about 35 minutes away, and another about an hour 10 drive
Bed is already done so not tubbing it.

I would like to click off into the 9s even it is 9.99
650 hp would get to roughly to 10.50s but if this combo can make 700 or so, I would be around 10.35, then I can spray my way to 9.90s with a 100/125hp no2 hit.

My tame 10.77:1 489 makes 592 hp and 600 ft lb. with a 231/239 hyd roller cam eddy rpm AG and a 1000 AED carb and 1 7/8ths headers, I'd say yours should be an easy 650/650 +, my dyno graph is in my garage or whatever its called now
