Horn Ring Works Backwards

1964 Convertible stock steering wheel I think. (I had two steering wheels one was from another model Chevy I think Impala. Both looked the same I used the best one)

Horn works after replacing the spring and copper contact that comes up through the hole in the steering wheel. This hole is located about 10 or 11 o’clock.

To make the horn honk the top of the horn button has to be pushed or the horn ring lifted not pushed down. Something internal would have to be 180º off?

The steering wheel cannot be reversed, because the spokes would angle up and the horn ring would be on top in front of the gauges.
