Todd,The forward position also improves the installation situation in relation to 4L80/4L85 transmissions, but for different reasons. These transmissions have smooth cast one-piece bellhousings/cases like the GM legacy transmissions, but they are longer overall than the length of the transmission fitment well designed into the tunnel of the car by GM.
It just so happens that using the Hooker forward-bias engine brackets moves the rear of the case of the 4L80/4L85 transmissions case forward of the end of the well and allows the trans to tuck up into the well just as a TH400 does when installed in a 64-67 A-body.
Todd, any updates on when the mounts will come out? I've looked at the website and so far haven't seen the mounts out there. Also how far away are the headers from being introduced and any idea on the timing for the cross member for convertibles? The brackets have not yet been loaded on our website and the product release has not yet been sent out to our resellers, which means there are no allocations for orders currently. If you monitor the Holley website daily starting next week and place an order as soon as you see them present there, then you would more or less guarantee that you would receive a set out of the first production run. The part numbers are 71221008HKR for the forward-bias brackets and 71221009HKR for the rear-bias brackets.
I've been keeping an eye out too and i just noticed they are now listed on Summit's website:Todd, any updates on when the mounts will come out? Thx,

There is progress to report on the release of the parts. The engine brackets were released into the system on Friday and there are sets of both the forward bias and rear bias versions on the shelf; the part numbers for the engine brackets are 71221008HKR and 71221009HKR. They shound be listed on the Holley website and be available for purchase sometime next week. The transmission crossmembers have been delivered to our distribution facility and are waiting for our internal documentation process to catch up with them so they can be boxed up and put on the shelf...I'm going to guess 1.5 weeks for that to happen. I've been informed by the production lead that the first production run of the 1-7/8" long tube headers should take place the week after next.
