a bit confused here. i bought a strip of rubber that was called hood to cowl which i presume attaches with the 12 black clips to the underside of the hood but i don't know which way to turn the molding and what side the clips are to go into.
also, is there a molding that lies on the cowl itself and how is it attached ? do the two pieces meet to form a seal ?

There are 2 seals at the hood to cowl (at least on mine). There's a softer rubber one with clips to the cowl it self. Then there's a harder rubber one on the hood with clips. It is shaped like a "V".

The softer one I think is called Hood to Cowl Seal, and I have no clue what the "V" shaped one is called.
