Did hood pins come on all 71 SS Chevelles(with domed hoods), or was it an option in addition to the SS option? My 71 SS has the non cowl induction domed hood, but it does not have hood pins. I was wondering if it came that way, or did a body shop or someone just not put them back on when the hood was replaced in a prior collision repair or something?

My recollection is that all 71-72 SS cars regardless of whether it had functional cowl induction or just the raised SS domed hood came with the hood pin set-up. 1970 cars only got the pins with the functional hood which is why the replacement GM raised hoods are not punched out for the holes.
