Were there insulators or gaskets used on the hood louvers of a 67SS? I am assuming there must have been, so I guess the real question is where can I get these? Haven't been able to locate any aftermarket ones yet.

Original ones were a foam type gaskit,good luck finding deceint ones.
I use EPDM [rubber roof membrane] and cut it to fit.

Bad, I came across a bad set of louvers off Ebay and saw the repo version. Its the thin rubber gasket you mean right? Reminds me of thinly cut weatherstriping...?

Bad, I actually have some weatherstrip with adhesive on both sides that would work mint. Home depot item. Cut it into strips no more than a 1/4" wide and its the same stuff thats on those repos.
