I have a Holley 4160 on my GM 350 crate motor which is less than 2 years old. Have been having problems with it idleing right. I took the carb apart and found the galvanizing on the inside of both fuel bowls flaking off. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem or heard of this. Thanks for your help.

Contact Holley tech support. I just contacted them with my problem and they are replacing my carb because of a recall for my specific model(street dominator 670cfm). The recall has something to do with a high lead content in either the casting or the finish. I dont know which.

Contact them to see if they can do anything for you. It just might get you a brand new carb.
