Holley Terminator Stealth, MSD 6A, and Holley Duel Synch distributor. After months of wiring and fuel line routing, I attempted to fire up the beast today. Epic fail. Seems I’m blowing the fuse that powers my distributor and MSD.

The feed wire to the MSG is the small gauge red wire and the feed to the ignition is the red with white tracer wire. Both are fed from an ignition feed, via a relay.

I unplugged everything and started connecting components until the fuse blew.

As soon as I plugged the dual synch into the main EFI harness, the 15 amp fuse let loose.

This is how I wired the MSD Into the system.

Any ideas? I find it hard to believe that I have a bad distributor.

I about ready to rip all this shit out and and put in anHEI distributor and a carburetor!

For a fuse to blow instantly its usually a short to ground, meaning something carrying 12V is touching bare metal or an ignition or EFI component is shorted out internally.
Also to add, a short like that is easier to locate than an intermittent problem that only shows up once in a while.

I’m an idiot. When wiring up the panel, I swapped terminal 87 with terminal 85, which is ground. Bam, short direct to ground.
Moron!
Worse than that, in trying to remove the tangless connectors, a few of the internal plastic tabs that retain the connectors, broke. No one, and I mean no one has an Eaton 15305-224 in stock.

Yeah well an idiot would still be trying to find that short and swearing that everything he did was perfect.Glad you fixed it.
