Being out of the street car crowd for 20 years, I have an 850 that is almost new. Is there any way to upgrade the 850 to a 1000cfm carb with a main body change? Trying to stay away from a new carb but not sure what 950’s are 950 and not 830 or anything else. Thanks

Holley is having a sale on main bodies right now. I got this one for a pretty good price.
Automotive lighting Motor vehicle Hood Gas Rim
Automotive tire Automotive lighting Alloy wheel Rim Automotive wheel system

I also got this 2 of these last fall for $63 each both are 850's but with the right base plate they could become a 1000hp

This is listed as an upgrade for 850 cfm and should be a direct replacement

Brawler but not sure if its direct replacemt with your current carb?

proform should be direct replacement

Im sure BLP has something that work to

I thought the 850 and 1000 use the same baseplate?
I got a custom carb from BLP about a year ago. They built me a 1060 and I was told on the phone they'll use an 850. I'm not overly familiar with all the nuances, so I would recommend giving them a call and see what they say. They may be able to take what you have and build to what you need or at least give you some direction. They're a nice group over there.

Yeah they may be able to let me know the differences between them. I’ve run dominators for the last 22 years and didn’t have a motor that needed more than the modified 850 I have now before that.
