I've been curious to know the weight of my car, so I stopped in at a Truck Stop near my work to get an answer. 3820 lbs. This is a 70 SS396 TH400 combo. Factory buckets and console car. I am running a Classic Auto Air a/c system, Edelbrock RPM heads, Edelbrock RPM intake, and a Dewitt's Aluminum radiator. The car was weighed with a full tank of gas as well.

That's about right. These cars with big block, 12 bolts and T400 get heavy. Are you running steel wheels? The heads and intake probably help almost 100 pounds.

I'm running the factory 14x7 rallies with 225/70/14 BFG t/a tires. I was also thinking the heads, intake and aluminum radiator is shaving near 100 lbs. off the original weight.

My 1970 SS454 LS6 weighs 3,745 lbs. without me. Half tank of gas and F70 spare.
3,820 with a/c and aluminum goodies not bad IMHO
