what do you all say at people when you look at project cars that need a lot of work, and they tell you a price that is way out of line. I just looked at a base 64 chevelle with a inline 230 6 with a powerglide that needed 1/4's, trunk, mabey a front floor, doors, frame, and a complete interior, all for $2,900 but the good news it does run and drive, and had a rile nice set of SS hubcaps . I could not belive my ears, for the back window was blown out a tree must have fell on the back of the car, and it was just rough. so had to drive away

Too many people think they have gold these days.
I just saw a 6 cylinder 65 Mustang around the corner from me with faded paint and 3 flat tires..looks like it hasn't moved in years with a fresh "for sale" sign in the window and a $6500 price
I didn't even bother looking at the torque boxes or any of the undercarriage.

On a deal like this, actually show them the money you're willing to pay. Three hundred dollars worth of $20 bills fanned out on the table can motivate some people to sell. I bought a 74 Caddy this way for $500 from a person that had a firm offer of $1200 from another buyer. I fanned out the money and they signed the title right there. So much for the other "offer".

I looked at a 71 chevelle a couple weeks ago, no motor or trans, 10 bolt drum brake car, no rad. front end rear ended something as the bumper, grille, were gone, extentions munched, needed everything in the interior, when I asked if it was for sale, (expecting a couple hundred bucks) the guy procedes to tell me $1800!!!
I told him thanks but I have a 72 elcamino that runs with a 12 bolt, discs,400 sb.typical hotrod I was selling for $2500.
The car actually moved under its own power tonight for the first time in 2 1/2 years since I put it back together. drove it out of the back yard pulled it around the cul de sac. I have a guy looking at it tommorrow. My wife actually saw the whole car really for the first time since I brought it home, and basically told me Im a idiot if I take a penny less and if the gentleman doesn't buy it fro my asking price, she wants to park the blazer and start driving the el camino! Now Im hoping it doesn't sell. Jim
