72 chevelle. Low beams work, parking lights work, when hit foot switch for high beams I have no lights except parking. Put in new headlight switch, and high beam foot switch. I tested the wires on the high beam bulbs and seem to have no power. Any ideas??

Hate to go here but you didn’t specify…… Did you check the bulbs, are they the correct DUAL filament bulbs with 3 prongs?

Check the dimmer switch.

Did it do this with the old dimmer switch? If not put it back in.

I'd jump up and down on the dimmer switch for a while, new or not. They get dirty and stop working.
The connector at the D-switch gets wet and things corrode.
After that, measure the voltage at the bulb connectors.

Some high beams come on when you cool them if you know what I mean.

The single headlights on each side utilize the same ground for high and low….. so a ground at the bulb is not your problem.

TAN is LOW positive and LT. Green is HIGH positive. Turn on the highs and start tracing backwards (starting at the headlights) until you find your loss of power.
