Hey Guys,

Thought I had a color picked with my red... but I think there might be brighter available.

I've taught myself to weld and shaved the trim off the side of my car....

I've taught myself to use (high quality) filler (Rage Gold and Metal Glaze) and block sand until I'm blue in the face....

I've decided I'm going to purchase a nice gravity fed HVLP gun and shoot the color myself too  Crazy? Maybe.

Because I am a newb at painting cars from what I read the best type of paint to use in my situation would be a single stage and to not jump into the whole BC CC thing at first. Oh also.. of course I'm in Southern California so not all paints on the market are available to me due to the laws and regulations.

Sooooo what I am looking for is... BRIGHTEST, PUREST, JAW DROPPING RED. And any brand or recommended places to get it would be great too :D

Thanks guys!

Thanks for all of the replies guys!

Funny the 4 red "names" that came up Victory Red, Torch Red, Guards Red, and Ferrari Red were all the names I was running across while Google searching like crazy trying to figure this thing out. Also, Kaizen, when I was ordering more Sandpaper from Eastwood yesterday the Pinup red caught my attn too. That example car I don't necessarily think does the color justice though?

I just found this interesting picture:

Makes the torch red almost look orange? Between those two I think I would lean toward the Victory red.

Is there any "GO TO" spot where I can order any of these above named colors and compare chips side by side and hopefully order in a Single Stage? There aren't any quality paint supply stores that I know of locally.

No clue... I have seen it at the Socal ACES show probably 5 to 10 years ago... and I ran across it on Google images. The car is gorgeous in person too.
