Your cars' interior has served as an inspiration for me to install a set of Procar seats.
I'm starting to feel metal coils in my stocker Pontiac seats and would like a better supporting seat for my tall arse. I know it's been some time since you have had them, but how do you like em' at this point? Do they wear good and are they still comfortable? TIA bro.

Indeed he might be a tad shy of 235lbs. JJ.
The guys at Procar asked me in the kindest of ways, "How fat is your arse?" I assured them that with a 36" waist, I should slide right into their seats with no uhmm, 'issues'. Apparently their more endowed clients have complained about the side moldings being too tight when seated. Heck, I'm hoping it fits like a glove.
The buckets I have now are good for about a 30 minute jaunt before my spine begins to contort on me. :(

Since mike has not chimed in yet, i'll give my $.02... I have Procar's "Rally" recliners in my 70 elky temporarily (and had them in my 69 before) They are a smaller seat than the "Elite" like Mike has, with bigger bolsters. I'm a big guys (~250lbs) and these are a little tight in the butt- but not bad.

The Elites are the perfect size. Recently, my local upholstery shop had a sample Elite seat, and he let me install it in my car(I already had the brackets) I LOVE the elites. Feels great. You should not have to worry about the size.

I plan on getting a set to go in my 70 this winter. I am thinking about getting a set bare, with no upholstery, and having custom covers made with the stock style stitch pattern.

Oh, also- I've had the rally's for 4 years, the last 2 of those have been daily driven using the seats- They have worn great- Still no rips, and still firm.

Hell, seems I miss all your threads Wes! Been pretty busy lately.

The Procar seats (Elite model) are still holding up very well. They are also very comfortable. When people that have driven older cars get into mine, the first thing they say is, "The seats are nice", followed by, "What's that red switch for?" For people that have never riddin' in an old car, the don't even acknoledge the seats. (That's a good thing I think). For my old bench seat, people would always do the "wiggling of the arse" and giggle a bit.

They haven't had any noticable wear. The year or so I didn't have a garage didn't damage them at all. Being that they are "down and back" in the cab for my 6' (ghetto cruising) self, means I don't really rub either bolster getting in or out.

My wallet (longer style) had a credit card poking out once, and it scored the vinal a tad, but you can't really notice.

-If I had to to do over, I'd by them again for anther project car.

Let me know if a picture is desired. And for someone who likes to be a "leader of the pack", I'm sure you have some kind of SS logo embroidered on the headrest by a local shop.

sorry again for being asleep at the 'puter.

Thanks Mike and Ben for the feedback. I was pretty sure you were still enjoying them but just wanted to get some 'seat of the pants' opinions about them. They should arrive later this week. Hey and thanks for the embroidery idea Mike.
Had never thought of that before - it's a great idea.
I might re-cover the rear seat to match the pattern of the new procars'. Can't wait to slide into them new seats!
