Hey guys, I love the forums, and finally had some time to post some pics of our 66. Right now it is currently back off the chassis and on the rotisserie getting paint and body done. When it is all said and done it will be late model Audi silver with a black vinyl top. If all goes well it will be on the road by next summer, dare I say CB 07?

Great looking 66, keep us posted with updates. I'm currently building a Pro-Touring 70 Chevelle, what type of valve covers are those thats what I'm looking for, do you have a close up of them?
Thanks for the compliment. Funny you should mention the valve covers. I am going to change them out with some cast aluminum ones that I just had powder coated gloss black. We're going for the subdued mono-chrome look. But, the valve covers are often referred to as "Cal custom" style. I have seen a bunch of them on ebay.
Oh yeah, I am also searching desperately for an original GM 66 SS hood!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cool ride in the making! What kind of seats are in the car.
The seats are Scat Procar Rally 1000's. I love the seats, but dealing with there customer service department is frustrating. The brackets weren't right and they didn't seem to be too concerned even when I offered dimensions and pictures.
Those wheels look very familiar to me, as do the seats :)
Nice protouring project you have there,Tommy. Hopefully, you can have it ready for CB07. I've been talking to some people about getting more P-T Chevelles and El Caminos to attend next year's event.
Clint,
I was talking to a buddy of mine about the lack of Pro-Touring cars at CB06. Kind of makes me wonder if the style is as popular as I thought it was... Either way, I still love it and am not changing my direction.
Brian,
Is your car on the Vintage wheel works web-site? If not there is one just like it on there. If it is, it is one of the reasons I went with the wheels. Beautiful ride!
Looks awesome  I'm also digging the pair of wagons in there too

I was thinking the same thing about the wheels...
What are the plans for the wagons, my neighbor has two and they are sweet, I worked with a guy who had a two door 66 wagon, soft spot I guess...

The multi-color blue 64 wagon is our slammed driver/project. It has made two trips to Chevellabration and we love it to death. The primered 65 wagon will most likely be sold as a shell. Unless we can finish the 66 without needing the money...

Yeah, my car is on their website on a couple of the pages :)
Tommy,
How do you like the seats?
Ive been looking at getting a set of them.
Are they direct bolt ins or did you have to buy their mounting brackets?
Are those Procar's?

Looking good! We just picked up a 67 SS396 Chevelle that is a blast but I see my self finding a plain Malibu and building a clone of our SS in a P-T style. I love old muscle, but modern in an old shell is where it is at! Keep the pic's comming. Laso just a thought but what would be a slick P-T would be an old 67 2dr wagon!

Mitch,
The seats are Procars and they say you have to buy there "direct bolt in" brackets, but the ones they have for original bucket seat cars didn't fit mine. Luckily I bought mine used and they came with universal brackets that I fabbed legs to to fit our ride. I'm sure with the right skills and tools you could fab a set and save the $110.

Mitch,
By the way I absolutely love the "Goona"! I have been in love with those since they had the Hawaiian tropic stock car in the Cannonball run movie.
