Where can I get pics or exploded views on the mounts and dash and wires and everything behind the dash on a 70 velle SS?

A 1970 Chevelle assembly manual is what you want.

Haven't looked at the one I have as yet, but a lot of the pages are pretty much illegible...

I think there are two types of the assembly manual out there. I have both. One is a bound version that has all the pages and is very clear and legible. The other I originally got is a three hole punched version. The pages are incomplete and difficult to make out. I got both on eBay but I am sure you can get them elsewhere. Get the one that's bound, obviously. I used that for my dash swap and it made things so much easier. Good luck!
