Calling a 67' owners with factory gauge package. I am in need of a picture of a dash harness fuse box with gauges. All the identifiers have worn off. I can't tell which or what fuses go where. Please no idiot light fuse box pics. I have a idiot fuse box that I can read.

They are clearly different. Look at the 2 pics. One has "gauges" in slot "D" with a P/N 8392-J. Also the back-up light circuit is paired with the gauge circuit. The one in pic early post #3 In slot "D" it has "inst and lamps" with a P/N CHEV-4282-J. Could someone with original 67' gauges just please go and take a picture for me. Want to know the P/N under the flasher relay.

The reason the two fuse boxes are different is one is a 66 and one is a 67. I know the 67 photo is a non-gauge car as it's my photo. Neither the parts book nor the AIM list the fuse panel as a separate item but rather it is part of the wiring harness. For 1967, both do show different harnesses for (1) Chevelle except floor console, (2) Malibu, S.S., w/floor console (exe. inst. panel gauges, Sta. Wag., Sedan), and (3) Chevelle w/inst. panel gauges.

If there's a physical difference in the fuse placements and ratings on the panel itself, neither book shows a real image of the panel itself to see if any fuse placement or ratings are different between the threee. I can't imagine there would be a physical difference in the panel itself. If someone has a 1967 Chevelle w/factory gauges and can take a clear photo of the fuse panel, I'd like to see it as well.

I PM'd Donny from American Autowire about this and here's what he said about the 1967 fuseblock:

There is no difference in the actual fuseblock between a gauge and a non-gauge car. Both used GM P/N 6288392. Whether you have the correct block is easily detected. In the upper corner of the block near the hazard flasher, the number "8392" will appear which are the last 4 of the GM part number.
And, similar info about the 1966 fuseblock:

The 66 harness was entirely different in MANY ways (turn signal connection, wipers, gauge of wires, circuiting inside the box, etc.) and are 100% incompatible with each other. Again, whether it has gauge or non gauge is inconsequential. Both used GM P/N 2984292 and will be detected by the number 4292 in the upper corner of the box.
Hopefully, this will satisfy any questions. ;)

Thanks, Donny!
