I have a 1968 Chevelle with a Roll-up tach, it is not connected becasue there is an aftermarket racing tach installed. I like to go original, how do i go about connecting this tach, where exactly do the wires go -- to complicate things I have an HEI distributer, not the original style. Thanks for your help!

There is a brown wire from the - side of the coil and a pink wire that has 12v when the key is on. The back of the tach is marked where the wires go (+12v & COIL). There are also 2 light sockets for the tach that have the same gray wires as the other dash lights. I guess you could hook up the brown wire to the TACH terminal of the HEI & it would work, but I'm not certain of that.
