My 70 Chevelle, originally bench seat with auto on the column, now buckets with floor shift and console. It has a round dial dash with idiot lites but I don't beleive it was original to the car although the dash harness appears to be extremely nice and unmolested. The car when I got it did not have the console harness or the console extension harness. I have now installed them but I'm unable to locate the courtesy lite plug under the dash to connect the console. The backup lites and safety neutral switch was not a problem. I did this once about 6 or 7 years ago on another car and I apparently did not have this problem locating the plug because it worked fine. I checked with M&H Electrics which makes wiring harness's and all they know is all the dash harness's they make include this plug.
My question is, did GM make harness's for cars that did not have consoles without this plug?
If this is the case, can someone explain to me where I can tap into to wire this plug?

Thanks guys!
