have new qtrs on the 69. ? the spot weld marks, do I cover them with bondo i.e. smooth or was the factory look where you can see the spot welds?
Depends in what you are trying to acheive. If it is a correct resto (stock) then the spot welds should be duplicated as how the factory did them. If it is a restomod or non stocl type showcar then you could fill them and smooth the area. I went to great lengths to recreate the way the factory did them when I replaced the 1/4's on my COPO.

You know, I watched my old boss do a 67 GTO and before he rmoved the panels he actually took pictures, measured and charted on scetches where every spotweld was and replicated it on reassembly! At first I thought he was getting a little anal about the resto but as it went together and I saw the finished car I understood his diligence!:thumbsup:
