i went to the junk yard today and found a set of old cal custom aluminum valve covers for 10 bucks!! i am going to glass bead them and sell them but dont know what it came off of . it had shaft rockers and the distributor was in the rear im thinking buick? it was in a 57 chevy pickup

Chevy trucks had Pontiac V-8s in them back then. I'm not sure about shaft rockers though.

Never heard that one before and I did Chevy and Pontiac parts for years.

No shafts on Pontiac's.

I think he meant Pontiac trucks had CHEVY v8s in them;)

Early 50,s Chevy / GMC trucks did have buick nailhead engines but usually the 1 tons ......never heard of the 1/2 tons with Nailheads
