Hello. New to the group here and purchased this Chevelle and it’s suppose to be a big Block 454 SS 4spd convertible car.

Car is currently black with white stripes and black bucket seat interior. Trying to get pics of the numbers on the block. Hoping without a build sheet that some of this info will help in determining whether it’s a factory SS car?

Well allow me to be the first to welcome you to Team Chevelle!
I see it is correct as saying it's a Malibu and then it would be a matter of the options making it anything else on top of that.
Not too sure of the codes but there will be a slew of info coming your way shortly!
Again welcome and love to see the whole Car!

Very nice, but looks like a repro dash with the chrome rings around the turn signal, brake and oil lights. Doesn't mean its not a real SS, though.

Did you buy that car and did you have a knowledgeable Chevelle person look at it first?
Do you have a VIN number?
Yes, I would like to see the engine stamp, the rear axel stamp, and trans stamp if you have them.
I don’t have the stamps yet. He did tell me the trans was changed from a M22 to a M21 prior to him getting the car. Im mostly trying to confirm the car is a real 4spd SS454 car. What will the vin # tell you? It is most definitely a 13667 vin.

The black bucket seats (756) and Tuxedo Black paint (19) are how it left the Van Nuys (BL) factory.

10D (October 4th week) on the trim tag is about a month too early to be a 454.
I suspected that last night but wasnt sure on the dates. I tried to find the info on the dates but was unsuccessful.
What about the info on the protecto plate? Fake?

Whether SS or clone it's still a 70 convertible! Don't worry about it just enjoy it! There a few things more enjoyable than cruising with the top down on a nice day with your lady!
X2
Still there is the disappointment in finding out what you thought you had is not what you really have. Just hope the OP didnt pay for a LS5 Chevelle but has something less. Yes it a beautiful 70 vert. Enjoy it.
We have gone this far. How about posting the vin to check out the trim tag?
