Hey guys, just bought a '67 Chevelle SS project car and I am looking for some help decoding the cowl tag. This is my first project car, but I have already got a lot of great info from this site. Was able to decode some of the info, but looking for confirmation and help with the items I couldn't figure out. I want to turn my project into a daily driver, but would like to go as close to original as possible.

09D - SEP, 4th week
ATL1439 - Assembled in Atlanta
ST 67-13817 - SS 396, Hard top
N2 - Madeira maroon, Black vinyl top
763-B - Black vinyl interior, Bucket seats

Had a hard time figuring out the accessory code. It looks like 2QCS.
2 - ?
Q - M21 4 speed?
C - Padded dash?
S - Interior chrome?

I am not sure what the final number was for 5Y129933.

Thanks for any help / corrections.

09D - SEP, 4th week (Correct)
ATL1439 - Assembled in Atlanta (1439 Fisher Body Unit Number)
ST 67-13817 - SS 396, Hard top (Correct)
N2 - Madeira maroon, Black vinyl top (Correct)
763-B - Black vinyl interior, Bucket seats (Correct)

Had a hard time figuring out the accessory code. It looks like 2QCS.
2 - ? (Group 2)
Q - M21 4 speed? (Correct)
C - Padded dash? Sure it's not a "G", which is for a Console? Also, "C" was used in Group 3 on the Trim Tag.
S - Interior chrome? (Rear Antenna)

I am not sure what the final number was for 5Y129933.

5- Group 5
Y- Deluxe Seat Belts
129933- Internal Plant Tracking Number found on interior trim sheet.

Thanks for any help / corrections.

Ethan, Thanks for the help. You were correct, it was a "G" not "C", just had to scrape off some gunk. Great explanation on the groups, I couldn't figure out how they were listed from the other stuff I was reading.
