Hello,

I need help decoding this 65 Chevelle SS Convertible. I will be selling it for a friend. I want to make sure all the information I provide is accurate. I have checked several sources but only seem to get some information (paint and interior colors).

here is the tag.

11B 884
65 13867 BAL 686
792 P2

Any help is greatly apprecitated.

13867, Chevelle SS convertible
Bal, Baltimore, Md assembly plant built.
Can't help on the rest, could you post the VIN too?

884 is the Job number from the trim sheet.
686 is the Fisher Body unit number - generally sequential for the series/model meaning it's the 686th 13867 style as of the body assembly date.
792 is interior code as you've probably gathered, ivory buckets w/black trim
P2 is Evening Orchid with a black convertible top; it's my understanding as well that the Evening Orchid color was an SS only color.

I would love to see a picture of that car. Evening Orchid/Black/Ivory is a great color combination.
Heck, I'd like to see it in person if it wasn't 800 miles away!

Can you post a picture or three?
