I am trying to replace the instrument panel on my '66 chevelle ss. I am having trouble removing the knob for the lights. It may just pull straight off but this one is stuck and I thought I would ask if anyone knew before I took the chance of breaking something.
Also, how does the ignition come apart so that the panel will come off? It starts to unscrew but then it stops about halfway. Can anyone help me?

pharmer, To get the head light switch knob off, you have to reach in behind the switch and push a button that is on the opposite side of the wires. Pull out on the knob til its all the way out,push the button in and the knob should come out. The ignition key and tumbler have to come out before you can get the bezel off, to do this, turn the key to the acc position,push in with a paper clip at the little hole that is beside the key and turn it a little more and pull out on and it should come out and then you can unscrew the bezel.
