I agree with the other guys................... NOW ASK ME WHY ??.....
I had TWO after market H.E.I.s, The after market units just F#@KEN ate modules. Bought a brand new G.M. HEI. It has been in the car for over 36.000 miles and NO issues !
Buy a G.M. unit and you will not have a-- Whiskey--Tango--Foxtrot-- Moment=WTF ! :surprise:
I worked at a store/warehouse that sold a lot of off brand, white box HEI's. They ran about a 25% return rate due to defects. Anything HEI you see that is inexpensive, including the economy versions of Mallory, Accell and MSD is questionable. The one thing they all had in common was a polished housing that had four small screws attaching the shaft portion to the main body that housed the electrical components, if you see that run.
