hi everyone, sorry i haven't posted in a while, working 7 days lately. i took your guys advice and bought the hedmans for my 70. you guys were right, nice fit. right side slid right in. on the left i had to remove the z-bar and motor mount bolt and jack it up. best part is all i had to do is weld about 9 inches of pipe to the collectors and they slid right in to my pypes exhaust!!! so i got to use my exhaust and not have to get another one!! now i wish i put down the dynamat!!!! thanks again!!! retro sound radio next!!

Great to hear! I have a set for my 454 Chevelle too (in the box still) when installing did you have to remove the starter or oil filter?

When I installed the 68198's in mine, I didn't HAVE to remove the starter but I did anyway just for a little more space. I do have a mini starter, though.

I did have to remove the filter. Getting the car as high on the stands as I could & raising the drivers side of the motor as high as possible made it much easier. I didn't want any scratches.:noway:
