I recently purchased a 72 chevelle. How do I tell if it's a Heavy Chevy?

It should have a stripe down the sides and lettering that says "Heavy chevy"...

Do a "search" on the tech page with "heavy chevy" as the subject. You will find a couple or threads that have discussed the subject pretty completely.
