I yanked out my AC evaporator box and put in a little plenum to make things a little more clean under the hood. But I can't remember, was there something built into the evap that is required for selectable fan speeds? I put the evap box up in the ceiling trusses, and don't feel like getting out the 14' ladder to check right now. Thanks.

Yes the speed resistors are installed in the air path on the box and the high speed relay is mounted on top of the box also. You will need both for the fan operation. The resistors will need air flow for cooling.
