This isn't for a Chevelle, but I am sure you guys will have some sugestions. Does anybody have a clue on how I could heat the lower windshield trim? (where the wipers park) I drive my 86 Cutlass all year round. One of my biggest complaints is the wipers always icing up.

I know some Dodge Carvans use a window defroster element to heat up the botom of the windshields for this purpose. Could I get some of the universal defroster grid, make the grid real tight and apply it to the underside of the trim? Would it put out enough to heat the trim above freezing?

Thanks for any help

I normally don't have a problem with the wipers freezing but on the rare instince that they do I put it on defrost and turn the heat up all the way. That seems to work for me.

Mine park below the windshield on the trim, so they can't get heated up.

Thanks

My solution is to use winter blades, the have a sleeve over the frame of the blade and don't get ice or snow stuck in the frame and usually don't freeze up.
