I removed this fro my 70 on a 350 I do not know the proper name. It is the vacuum canister and mounting bracket that is attached to the heat riser valve. Any help on the proper name? And is anyone interested in this? I very good shape and holds vacuum.

Dave its called a heat riser actuator all it does is open and close the heat riser valve. Have you any idea of howmany of those i removed in theold days and either tacked or wired the valve open . they seamed to be a nuissance for a few years. IMO they were more of a PIA than anything else. Not one of the general,s better ideas.Alex

the general had nothing to do with it, all the vehicles back then had one in some form or another. Put in the for sale forum, someone will probably purchase it.
