My headlights are dimming at idle when accessories are in use. wippers etc. Does that mean my alternator is going bad or what? That alternator is 6 months old.

I feel this is normal as my 69' does the same. Finished my resto about 2 1/2 years ago and have not had any alt problems. Battery stays charged ect.

Brian is right. That is normal for the lights to dim some at idle because the alternator can't produce enough amperage at idle to keep up with demand. If the lights get brighter when you increase the rpm, the alternator is working.
