I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THEY TOOK BUT,..........IF THEY WERE JUST CLEANED UP (MINIMUM STANDARD) HOW MUCH WOULD THEY TAKE AND WHAT WOULD THE CHANGE IN CC BE??

840 RECT. 107CC HEADS STOCK

ANY HELP APPRECIATED.

A....
=
Pretty hard to answer, there is no such thing as a "minimum standard"
Depends on how bent they were :D
But most decent shops start with a light cut to see what it will take.

As stated, flat mill is about 5 to 7 thou per cc, probably closer to 7 with the closed chamber.
How about just cc'ing them??
Then you know for sure.
Also, do not go by posted numbers on BB heads,, they sometimes vary by a lot.
I have seen 049/781 stuff anywhere from about 113 to 124 cc's

Mike, do they ever vary that much from chamber to chamber on the same head? That would make things interesting: 10:1 on some cylinders, 8:1 in others...
