I got these headbolts from Summit, nothing fancy. Is the white stuff thread sealer? Is that adequate?

X2! :thumbsup:Permatex #2 or equivalent....
Thanks Bill, I guess you should tell my engine that, or maybe not, it might stop doing such a good job of keeping the coolant where it belongs.Jake,
Sorry but Permatex Copper is not for thread sealing
Dave,
The white sealer on the threads is all you need. That is what it is there for. Same thing that GM uses.
I don't see Copper listed here. http://www.permatex.com/products/Automotive/thread_compounds/a_thread_sealants.htmThanks Bill, I guess you should tell my engine that, or maybe not, it might stop doing such a good job of keeping the coolant where it belongs.

Maybe you got lucky. No need to be snarky about it.

x3. I've had great success with Permatex #2. I believe most of the head bolt holes are open and not blind.:yes:X2!
