This car's been changing hands about a half dozen times in the last year. First time I saw it was in the Auto Museum in Las Vegas. The price drops considerably every time it's sold (makes you wonder). Beautiful car but if it really has 9k on it why has the manifold been changed and wrong air cleaner lid and decal?

Nice story, I liked it.........it should be made into a "made for TV movie". ..
I noticed the fuel gauge reads past full and the engine is not running, also the numbers on the odom. are not in line.....good sign of tampering. Nice looking car but I don't buy the storage and rarely driven line.

No seat belt light in 70 or 71. Based on what I have read here on this site and the many 70/71 SS dash harnesses I have repaired - Have never seen seat belt light on a 70 or 71. It could have happened but I have not seen one in person. On the 72 I have seen them with and some without.

Seatbelt light became manditory Jan 1st, 1972. Cars built early in the year did not have the light. Similar deal to the 1969 Camaro, headrests became manditory items Jan 1st, 1969, but they were a manditory option on any Camaro built before Jan 1. The difference is the light on the 1972 was not manditory until Jan 1st.
Regarding the car in question, there used to be a 1971 just like this (and I mean EXACTLY like it, intake and all, miles too) Show up at the B F Goodrich car show in Woodburn IN. I haven't seen it for a long time. Could be the same car, as the one I would see had very low miles as well. It was plated in Ohio at the time.
