been getting the last of the parts restored for my '71 SS396 and have to share the good experiences ive had. Custom Rebuilt Carbs did an excellent job on the OE Q-jet...coloring is good and turnaround time was good. Wiper Works on the wiper motor / washer pump...close attention to details...excellent work, good turnaround time. RKarp Sleeving...excellent work, very pleased with how the original master cylinder and original disc brake calipers look as i had him powder coat everything cast iron...good turnaround time too. Kellog Automotive got the job on rebuilding my original water pump. upgraded the inside to an 8 blade impeller with all new bearings, seals and even a new backplate!...good turnaround time!

my original distributor went to Jerry MacNeish. he recently had a lightning strike to his shop / garage and will be down approximately a month getting things rebuilt and back to normal. communication has been good about the downtime and when i can expect to get my distributor back. thinking about having him work his mojo on my original exhaust manifolds with his "reskinning" process too.

lastly im going to send my heat & a/c parts off to Classic Auto Air in Florida. have talked with them a couple times on the phone and seem very knowledgible on making this old stuff work like new again.

just wanted to share the good experiences ive had with certain vendors and pass it on! :beers:

Guys,

I am bringing my all original well used 327 300hp bucket seat M21 4 spd El Camino back to life.

Started with the motor and found some great vendors:

Eric at Vintage Muscle Car Parts www.vintagemusclecarparts.com RESTORED my Carter AFB. Not cheap at $449, but look at the pics.

Arthur Gould Rebuilders did my fuel pump $75 www.arthurgouldrebuilders.com

Tony Coenradi at Flying Dutchman did my water pump $75 [email protected]

Norm Werner at Werner's Corvette parts had all the little motor hoses, parts, springs, wires, tubes, etc. and was EXTREMELY patient and knowledgeable

All provided a great experience and a super result. Would recommend any of them highly.

I utilized Custom Rebuilt Carbs as well, was very pleased with the quality and timeliness of their work.

4 Barrel starts at $245.00 for a Street Restoration and $325.00 for a Show-Quality Restoration
