Hi Everyone-
The radio area on my '70 sweep-style gauge cluster is pretty hacked up and currently has a $30 3-gauge cluster in it. I'd like to install 2 1/16" autometer gauges there, oil, temp, and volts along with a few switches. I measured the height of this area as 2.25", will the gauges with their bezels be too tall? Thanks!

I remember seeing a '69 in a chevy magazine from Hawaii where the guy had some gages there, no details though on how or what size. Look it up on CHP or Super Chevy. I always thought this would be a slick use of the radio area instead of hanging the cluster under the dash. Somebody please post pictures. Dave.

Here's what I did, tell me what you think

That looks really good, Steve! Unfortunately, space is a lot tighter in the radio area of a '68. Still working out what I'm going to do with mine. Thanks for posting up!

Looks like I might have enough space for a radio and my gauges, I'm going to try it and see what happens! I'm going to cut out the whole radio area, not sure how I'm going to affix the plate yet.

My buddy finished the panel for me on the cnc last night, it looks great. I am being greedy and seeing if I can squeeze a 1 din radio in there as well as 3 2-1/16" gauges. It's gonna be tight, but it'd be awesome if it worked!
