Just got my new AGR 12:1 steering box for my 70!!! I also got the matching pump from them. Now all I have to do it get it out of the paint shop, redo the interior and reinstall it, install the box and pump and put it to the test...

At least I'll know how the car does in the snow.... ;)

Now my question, I have a disk setup off a 71 chevelle, and I have a setup for a 78 camaro. Their both 11 inch disks, but the camaro is a tall spindle. I want to upgrade to tubular upper and lower control arms, should I use the tall spindles or the stock ones?

Thanks

Since both setups are 11", I would stay with the 71 chevelle setup. If you're looking for improved handling, there's definitely some better options available now that accomplish the same task as the tall spindles with less of the negatives.

Do a search, this has been a heated topic for quite some time now.

Good Luck

Is the tall joint only on the bottom or bottom and top?
The tall Ball joint is available for both top and bottom... BUT, if you get just the bottom, you still probably have to get the new upper arms...

Of course, the tall lower BJ will lower the car about an inch, since it effectively moves the spindle and therefore wheel up...

I too agree with using the stock spindle/discs... SC&Cs Stage2 (tall BJs and upper arms starting at $460 for Chevelles) is comparable (actually better) in price to GW or Hotchkis upper arms ($517 for uppers or $640 with Lower BJ kit from Summit) alone...

Does anyone know IF the integral steering arm is the SAME for F-body Talls as it is for B-Body Talls?

Where to I find tall ball joints? Will they fit stock arms?

Thanks,

Generally, they should fit... BUT the BJ fit is NOT the reason for different upper arms... The upper arms NEED to be shorter with the taller spindles. Sometimes alignment can be made with offset shafts and/or lots of shims, but TYPICALLY, the shorter upper arm is needed... This is because of the arc the BJ swings through...
