I've never owned a Chevelle before. Guy down the street has a '65 Chevelle for sale for $1500. The car is basically in the middle of a restification and is in pieces. It has some rust in the quarters.
It comes with: all body panels, good bumpers, rebuilt front suspension, new floor and trunk pans already installed, interior (needs cleaned up and/or replaced), running 327/TH350, extra frame with frt suspension, 2 extra sets of front fenders, extra radiator support and brackets/braces/headlight buckets, extra windshield, 10-bolt rear, tailights, 3 hoods, extra instrument carrier and gauges

It is missing: grill, weatherstripping, paint job, complete brake system, front buckets, shifter and all linkage, body mounts, battery, decent rims and tires

He will also throw in a complete front clip from a '77 Camaro.

So, what do you think?

Also, what is the definition of hardtop, coupe and sedan? And, how does "Malibu" fit into the whole Chevelle thing?

It is a good project car. If your willing to work on it, it's a steal.

Unless you have somehow overdescribed it (which I don't think is the case), then it seems like an o.k. deal. But by all means see if he will take less! Just be sure that it is a project that you are willing to take on.
