its been going through my mind as to whether i should repaint the car the stock gold color or lay down some flat/satin black from house of color. i know the black would depreciate the value of the car. but i am wondering by how much? pics are in my signature, and thanks for the input

When you say depreciate, I think your selling in the future. If that's the case just leave it as is. Whatever you do take some really good pics before you start. New paint or primer makes potential buyers leary. Keeping it in primer sucks and it won't draw the girls. HAHA. I say repaint. A new coat of gold would look nice.

It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If you wanna make it a restoration than stay gold. However,if your gonna modify it, use your imagination, the only thing that limits you is your budget. For the record my car used to be a chocolate brown grocery getter. I lost $2,000 on my apraisal for going black,but man how the new paint changed the looks and peoples opinions of my car.
